The Holocaust as Israel's political asset

"Turning the Holocaust into a political asset serves Israel primarily in its fight against the Palestinians. When the Holocaust is on one side of the scale, along with the guilty (and rightly so) conscience of the West, the dispossession of the Palestinian people from their homeland in 1948 is minimized and blurred."

One million Jews fled the Arab world. They were being ethnically cleansed. The majority fled to Israel.

So Jews are also refugees. FYI... 55% of Israelis are Jews from the Arab world or are their descendents. The majority came to Israel between the late 1920s and 1950s. Also, let's not forget about the Jewish presence in Israel (there were always Jews in the region and many times, Arabs would try to kill them to finish the "Jewish problem").

We can't go back to Europe or move Israel to Europe as some MSU speakers have suggested.
